Eddie VanSlambrouck developed his interest in design from a wide array of experiences, from building backyard chicken coops to planning large infrastructure projects. Further, while earning his Master of Architecture degree, he received several jury prize awards that fueled his interest in digital media and 3D modeling. In addition, his interest in sustainable design and renewable energy systems led Eddie to become a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008. And in 2020, he was certified as an Accredited Learning Environments Planner (ALEP) by the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), currently held by less than 375 of the nation’s most qualified designers and planners of school facilities.

Eddie has managed many complex projects during his years as Project Manager and Studio Lead, including several LEED-Silver projects for Mountain View Los Altos High School District (Mountain View, Calif.). In 2022, he was promoted to Director of Design. In this important role, Eddie develops firm-wide design standards to maintain graphic consistency and high-quality deliverables, leads QKA’s Interior Design team, researches design trends and products, and provides design support where needed.

Originally from the mid-west, Eddie enjoys hiking and exploring northern California with his wife and two daughters.
