LEED AP, ALEP
Principal / Director of Design
Eddie VanSlambrouck developed his interest in design from a wide array of experiences, from building backyard chicken coops to planning large infrastructure projects. While earning his Master of Architecture degree, he received several jury prize awards that fueled his interest in digital media and 3D modeling. His interest in sustainable design and renewable energy systems led him to become a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008, and in 2020 he was certified as an Accredited Learning Environments Planner (ALEP) by the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), currently held by less than 450 of the nation’s most qualified designers and planners of school facilities.
Over his 20 years in the industry, Eddie has managed many complex projects for Bay Area school districts, including several LEED-Silver projects for Mountain View Los Altos High School District (Mountain View, Calif.). In 2022, he was promoted to Director of Design and in 2026 was also promoted to Principal. Eddie has grown the firm’s interior design team to collaboratively support projects across all studios. Additionally, he develops firm-wide design standards to maintain graphic consistency and high-quality deliverables as well as researching design trends and products to provide design support where needed. With his promotion to Principal, he will continue to expand the capabilities of the design team while supporting the firm’s strategic growth.
Originally from the mid-west, Eddie enjoys hiking and exploring northern California with his wife and two daughters.
