Project Architect/Designer

As a Project Architect/Designer, you will lead and oversee architectural projects from conceptual development through completion. This includes ensuring that all designs align with client goals, regulatory requirements and firm standards. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to delivering high quality work. This position is in the South Denver metro area in Colorado.

 

Compensation for this position is based on work experience, job-related knowledge/education, qualifications, and geographic availability to our Rocky Mountain Office location in the South Denver metro area. This position is full-time, salaried exempt and eligible for benefits with a base pay range of $90,000 to $115,000 annually.


Typical Responsibilities
  • Lead project design and documentation efforts, ensuring compliance with client objectives, budget, and timeliness.
  • Technical developments of the project including the responsibility for detailing and specifications, develop detailed design documents and construction drawings using Revit
  • Project Management of an in-house team and direct supervision of the development of the project, both in the BIM Model and 2D documentation, to ensure overall quality and accuracy. Includes development and monitoring of project work plan
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure cohesive project progress and alignment with design intent
  • Primary point of contact and responsible for communication with the client regarding the project in collaboration with the CA Project Manager and Associate
  • Responsible for compliance with all building codes, DSA (and other agency) procedures, related forms, applications, and processes
  • Training and mentorship of team members to grow their skillset and increase their knowledge

 

These responsibilities are typical but are not all-encompassing. Each person is expected to work collaboratively as a team and to assist in any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule, and within the project budget and the budgeted hours provided.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Accredited degree in Architecture or, related field, with equivalent education/experience
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant architectural experience, experience in K-12 public school design a plus
  • Architectural license (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural detailing
  • Strong written, graphic, and verbal communication skills and experience communicating with clients and consultants
  • Knowledge of sustainable design, construction materials, engineering disciplines, and construction techniques
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
