The Liberty Union High School District celebrated the opening of its long-awaited Performing Arts Center (PAC) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) buildings on Freedom High School’s campus with a ribbon cutting ceremony in early December. The new 19,000 sq. ft. PAC includes a 300-seat theater equipped with comprehensive production features to enhance performing arts curriculum, a supporting backstage area, Choral and Theater Arts classrooms, and an outdoor amphitheater. The 3,500 sq. ft. CTE building introduces three additional classrooms for critical trade education designed with functional features such as operable classroom walls for joint learning, shop garage doors and an adjacent construction yard. Both buildings were designed and constructed within Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) guidelines, incorporating advanced green and wellness features throughout.
