QKA’s Modernization of San Mateo Performing Arts Center Receives Award of Honor from Coalition for Adequate School Housing

We recently attended the Coalition for Adequate School Housing’s (CASH) annual conference where, along with our client, San Mateo Union High School District, we accepted the Leroy F. Greene Design & Planning Award for our modernization of the San Mateo Performing Arts Center (SMPAC) at San Mateo High School. QKA Receives Two Top Real Estate Project Awards from the North Bay Business Journal

12/12/18

With our project partners and clients, we are honored to announce that Kent Middle School’s modernization and Petaluma High School’s new track and field area have been named 2018 Top Real Estate Projects by the North Bay Business Journal. Work at Kent Middle School included a new administration building, as well as new and updated spaces for music, art and science. Petaluma High is now equipped with a new synthetic turf field and rubberized track, in addition to a new concession stand and ticket booth. Students on both campuses now enjoy facilities that perform, add value beyond meeting curriculum needs and blend utility with style.

The Mercury News Highlights QKA’s Projects for Fremont Union High School District

10/08/18

Fremont Union High School District (FUHSD) recently broke ground on two new multi-use Educational Option buildings, which will house the District's alternative education and support programs. FUHSD chose to use QKA’s innovative building solution Folia to bring the project to life and Principal Aaron Jobson is quoted in The Mercury News’ article on its sustainability and energy-saving benefits. This year also saw the completion of two new Folia buildings for FUHSD’s Cupertino High School.

QKA’s Folia Complex at Cupertino High School Wins Innovation Award from Silicon Valley Business Journal

With its project partners, QKA is proud to announce that the Silicon Business Journal has named Fremont Union High School District’s Science and Classroom Complex at Cupertino High School the "Innovation Project” in its annual Structures awards. The profile, “Prefab science project comes in early, under budget," attributes the innovation of our Folia building solution to the project’s completion in nearly half the amount of time projected and $3 million under budget.
