SANTA ROSA, Calif., June 2, 2015 – Quattrocchi Kwok Architects (QKA), a Santa Rosa-based architecture firm providing master planning, design and construction administration services for K-12 education facilities, announces the promotion of Nick Stephenson to associate. He was previously a project manager for QKA.
“Nick has been a trusted and valued team member for nearly 18 years, and we are fortunate he has spent so much of his design career with us,” said QKA Principal Mark Quattrocchi. “Nick has become an invaluable advisor and mentor to our staff and has developed a reputation for providing highly responsive and thoughtful guidance to our clients.”
Stephenson has been with QKA since 1997 and has worked in all phases of architectural services for education projects, including master planning, programming, schematic design, design development and construction documentation. Well versed in consultant coordination, green building practices and construction administration, Stephenson’s projects include the Mendocino High School Performing Arts facility and significant modernization work for Fort Bragg Middle School—both of which garnered design awards. Recently, he led the Facilities Master Planning for Lynbrook High School as well as the design and master planning for Homestead High School for the Fremont Union High School District.
Stephenson maintains an active role in his community. He has volunteered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team-In-Training program and is a certified triathlon coach. Stephenson earned his B.S. in Environmental Design from the University of California, Davis in 1992 and is currently studying for his Certified Educational Facility Planner (CEFP) credential through San Diego State University and the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.
