Tamalpais High School, a 100 year old school, has an award winning drama and music program despite not having adequate venues in which to practice and performuntil now. Performances are highly regarded and very well attended by the southern Marin County community. The new Daniel Caldwell Performing Arts Center provides the perfect venue in which these programs can be housed. The District and the School wanted a signature building that would express the exciting and dynamic nature of the program.

This performing arts center is part of the campus wide modernization program. The only available site left was a wedge shaped area at the very southern end of the campus. The Theater comes within inches of the Student Center and has an overlapping roof with the neighboring gymnasium. The design incorporates sustainable features, flexible seating for a variety of performances and state of the art amenities.
