Windsor Middle School's design supports a restructured curriculum that provides four independent classroom clusters at the heart of the school. These clusters include science and art labs, teacher workrooms and other support facilities that allow them to operate as smaller “schools within a school”, focusing on one subject or grade level, or promoting interdisciplinary studies.

The campus has two zones: The “active” zone accommodates extensive community use, and includes the gymnasium, multi-use building, outdoor courts and outdoor theater, while the “academic zone”, with its classroom clusters and library/media center is focused on quieter pursuits.
