This magnificent 1922 neo-classical building inspires great community pride and history, as many generations of Napa residents fondly recall their high school years. The 5.1 Napa Earthquake in 2000 heavily damaged the building, requiring Office of Emergency Services funding.

The design team installed a series of hidden steel braced frames and other structural upgrades without impacting the historic facades. The Performing Arts Theater false ceiling was removed to uncover a detailed ceiling and proscenium. The 1960’s seating was replaced, new house and stage lighting, acoustical systems and fly-loft rigging were installed, and the lobby and back stage areas were renovated.

The administration and Board room spaces were fully renovated including removed low ceilings, new plaster ceilings, new finishes and wood doors. Exterior concrete and plaster including parapet reliefs and statuary were repaired and painted.
