The Cabrillo Elementary School Modernization is the fourth project in the $65 million modernization program for the Pacifica School District. The modernization involved a design committee of over 20 district and community members.
Classrooms were improved to accommodate the needs of the primary grade students including bathrooms in the kindergartens, counters and new marker boards and increased instructional materials storage. Teaching walls, with room for computer technology and video monitors, were provided. Special classrooms were created for expanded curriculum in the arts and sciences, and the Library was greatly improved including reading areas, improved stacks and circulation desk.
